Carrageenan (red seaweed) is used as a gelling and stabilising agent in dairy products, marinated meats and beverages. Our Saltosil-K increases the gelling strength when added to carrageenan.

Low-Sodium Solutions
sub4salt® N1000
It is our standard type of rock salt which allows a sodium reduction of 35%. This salt replacement is universally applicable and available in two granulations, N1000 and F3000 which is the finer grade.
sub4salt® F3000
This salt replacement is in mainly topical applications and allows a sodium reduction of 35%. F3000 is a rock salt which is a finer grade.
sub4salt® plus 50
When using sub4salt® plus 50 as a salt replacement, a sodium reduction of 50% is achieved. It also comprises sodium chloride from rock salt and is universally applicable, too.
sub4salt® cure 05
This rock salt is one of our two products specifically designed for the meat industry. It differs from our
standard products by the addition of sodium nitrite (0,5%), which makes it
perfect as a ready-to-use curing salt substitute which reduces sodium by
35%.
sub4salt® cure 09
The second rock salt is specifically designed for the meat industry and differs from our standard products by containing 0.9% sodium nitrite, making it an ideal substitute for curing salt that reduces sodium by 35%.
MinSal-TM is a purely mineral premix designed and adapted to your formulation and demand.
MinSal-One Grain is a natural low Sodium salt with 30-40% less sodium by nature designed for clean labeling.
Saltosil-K
Now available as the most effective sodium replacer in the processed food market. Used as a partial replacement for sodium chloride allowing the sodium content in the final product to be reduced by up to 70% with no significant change in end product taste, texture or quality.
Saltosil-KBC
Provides a complete low sodium solution for manufacturers that are currently using sodium bicarbonate. Clearly, it is a healthier alternative to sodium bicarbonate. Used in the meat and baking industries. A simple replacement can reduce the sodium uptake up to a 50% whilst retaining the most important quality parameters.
