SALT Minerals gains license for sub4salt® product line from Jungbunzlauer,
Marking a Strategic Expansion in Innovative Sodium Reduction Solutions

sector, is pleased to announce the authorization of the marketing and production rights of the sub4salt® product line from Jungbunzlauer, a global leader in sustainable ingredients. The authorization of sub4salt® is set to enhance SALT Minerals’ portfolio of innovative sodium-reduction solutions and strengthen its position in the market. This agreement came into effect on January 1, 2025, and is now being publicly announced with this press release.

The sub4salt® product line is a cutting-edge substitute for pure sodium chloride (NaCl) and is available in six different grades: sub4salt® N1000, sub4salt® N1000 sea salt, sub4salt® F3000, sub4salt® plus 50, sub4salt® cure 05 and sub4salt® cure 09. This comprehensive range of products provides manufacturers across various industries with a highly effective solution for reducing sodium content while maintaining the essential qualities of salt.

As part of this agreement, Jungbunzlauer will license the patent rights and relevant commercial and marketing information necessary for the manufacturing and commercialization of the sub4salt® product line. Additionally, SALT Minerals will collaborate closely with Jungbunzlauer to procure specific raw materials exclusively from them, ensuring the continued production of sub4salt® to the highest standards.

This collaboration signifies a major step forward for SALT Minerals in meeting the growing demand for healthier, lower-sodium food. By leveraging Jungbunzlauer’s established expertise and innovation, SALT Minerals is poised to expand the market reach of sub4salt® and offer new sodium reduction solutions to bakeries, meat and instant soup producers.
