SALT Minerals opens new location in Korbach – a milestone for growth and sustainability

Korbach, November 8, 2024 – SALT Minerals GmbH has officially opened its new production site “Im Alten Felde” in Korbach. With an investment of 2.5 million euros, the company strengthens its presence in the heart of Europe and optimizes logistics through its proximity to the A44 and A7 highways.

“The location is a key advantage for our future growth,” explains CEO Dr. Franz Loth. “The move to Korbach allows us to be closer to our customers and continue expanding.”

At the new location, we produce a wide range of mineral raw materials for various industries, including the food, pharmaceutical, and cosmetics sectors. Sustainability is at the core of our operations: we already source 65 percent of our energy from renewable sources, and a solar power system to increase this to 90 percent is in the works.

“SALT Minerals is not only bringing new jobs to Korbach, but also strengthening the regional value chain,” said Mayor Klaus Friedrich during the official opening.

With 220 square meters of office space and 2200 square meters of production and storage area, the new site offers room for further growth. Modern amenities include underfloor heating and electric vehicle charging stations.
